It has been almost a thousand years since The Fall. The world has slipped further into tyranny and fascism. The leader of the Will of God cult has worked his way into the politics of Imperium Libertatis.

Enter Tempest Angel. The night she flees her abusive family she is asked to join the Atheris- a witch coven of undesirables- people that society has outcasted for not conforming to society's rules.

Underneath her independent, headstrong persona she holds lots of pain. She's beautiful and has been reduced to an object her entire life.

What Tempest doesn't know is that her whole life is about to change.

The Atheris are the resistance, their base hidden in the mountains of Prima Lux. Their leader, Damnatio, senses a spark in her, even if she doesn't see it yet.

Then there's Nocturne. He's stoic and mysterious. He's always there for her and incredibly beautiful. Surely he is just like the others who have hurt her. But something about him seems so...familiar.

As she is challenged to discover her authentic self she undergoes a journey of spirituality, ancestry, and sexuality, reclaiming every piece of herself that was taken from her.
